DCM Wrap It In Ribbon For Christmas

I haven't had much time or inclination for cardmaking or challenges lately (something my DBH never thought would happen) - I am having Acupuncture treatment for a Frozen Shoulder (right arm affected, and I'm right handed !! -drats) and that occurs on Friday mornings, which is obviously a direct clash with DCM challenge.
But, things are looking up, I had a good day pain management wise yesterday, went out for a meal with DBH last night and decided to get up early to see what was going on in the DCM world, saw the challenge and thought I could probably manage to do something, even with my gammy arm.
This is a simple card, working with basic dark green pearlised card stock, and using green corrugated card (CC) for the tree; I love using CC to depict trees on my christmas cards. Then I split some thin gold gift wrap ribbon and curled it using the back of the scissors blade, secured around the "tree" using sticky dots. Placed on the card stock, added a scrap of gold CC as a tree stand/trunk, plus a couple of small gold present peel offs then topped with a lilac diamond gem to finish.

This is pretty Sue - clever of you to use the gift wrap ribbon in that way.

I hope your shoulder is better soon, it's a really painful thing to live with.

This is a beautiful idea - like the way of wrapping around the ribbons...

Good luck with the shoulder. Love the wrap ribbon - at a first glance I thought it was sewn on!
